The scheme involved the construction of a bunded reinforced concrete base for the new timber processing facility extension at Dalbeattie. The project was completed in collaboration with our client whose timber processing operations had to be maintained throughout the works by scheduling the project around the continued use of several process tanks which were originally located within the extension footprint. The site footprint included several operational process tanks which had to be kept running for as long as possible during the works. We scheduled the construction works to complete as much work as possible with the tanks in place and then worked with our client to move the tanks to a new location over a weekend to allow us to continue construction the following week.
