The project scope

The framework contract involved the provision of operated and non-operated highways surfacing plant, including cold milling planers, pavers, rollers, excavators, and dumpers. All plant was supplied from our in-house owned and maintained fleet from our Carlisle and Thirsk depots.

We invested in new plant for this contract and, using our highways surfacing expertise, provided advice and solutions for our client’s surfacing projects – rather than just hiring equipment.

Our new plant fleet is maintained at our state-of-the-art maintenance facility in Carlisle, resulting in high levels of reliability, availability, and accuracy to deliver your projects on time with an optimum end road user experience.

Challenges & successes

We provided a flexible plant hire service to meet our clients’ priorities and technical requirements. Our expertise and experience in highways surfacing allowed us to provide advice and guidance on the correct type of plant and materials to use in each situation and we also provided guidance and solutions to technical challenges associated with the surfacing projects.

We invested in new plant for this contract which was maintained by our in-house plant fitters at our modern maintenance facility at Carlisle – ensuring that reliability, availability, and the laying accuracy of the machines was optimised.
