Challenges and Successes

The project specification required the use of a new surfacing product using ‘rolled in’ white chippings. To ensure this was installed correctly first time, we conducted trials in a small area of the project.

The project was located in a busy part of the operational station in Glasgow city centre. This required us to keep two of the three entrances open at all times and also to resurface the road over the weekend during low traffic periods.

Client Benefits

We successfully completed the works over the weekend to meet our deadline on Sunday evening – giving our client sufficient time to complete the white lining before the Monday morning rush hour traffic.

We have found DSD to be an extremely competent contractor and this has proved to be the case on the current project, Queen Street Station, Glasgow. They have undertaken the works in a conscientious, safe and professional manner and have received high praise from our Client.
