Recycling

With recycling rates typically achieving 80%, our concrete and asphalt recycling services take care of our environment and reduce carbon emissions.

DSD Construction is at the forefront of sustainable construction. Our construction recycling services divert waste from landfill, conserving resources and reducing environmental impact. We transform construction debris into valuable materials for new projects, promoting a circular economy by minimising materials sent to landfill and reducing the amount of virgin material used in our projects.

Quality & Expertise

Over the last 30 years we have developed a wide range of surfacing and civil engineering recycling services and products to help our customers maximise environmental performance, and reduce cost and carbon emissions.

Typical recycled products include:

  • Traditional waste concrete crushing and screening for use as sub base.
  • Cement Bound Granular Material (CBGM) to recycle tar bound road planings as an alternative to Type 1 sub base.
  • Foam mix recycled asphalt to recycle 94% tar bound road planings into cold applied 100% recycled asphalt.
  • Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) to recycle up to 20% of non tar bound road planings into new product, resulting in less virgin aggregate and lower carbon footprint.
  • Low temperature binder incorporating recycled plastic and rubber waste.
  • MacRebur recycled plastic asphalt to replace a proportion of bitumen with recycled plastic waste.
